metrically developed and reliable outcome
scales:

Knowledge“ describes the scope,
profoundness and up-to-dateness
of the knowledge and skills impar-
ted in the learning unit.

The scale “Critical Understanding”
describes the extent to which the
theories, models and methods im-
parted in the learning units are
being reflected upon critically.

The scale “Interdisciplinarity“ describes
to what extent a particular learning unit
is related to other professions or discipli-
nes,and towhat extent it is able to teach
learners how to handle challenges in in-
terdisciplinary contexts.

The scale “Problem Solving“ describes
if, and the extent to which, the learners
are confronted with complex problems
in the learning units that they need to
solve independently through the appli-
cation of cognitive and/or practical skills.

The scale „Practical Relevance“ describes

and assessments of learning success are
related to the real demands of practice
and practical problems.

and to what extent, the methods for

with novel and original problems
that require creative approaches for
finding a solution.

the learners in the learning units.

solution to fellow students, experts and
novices of the field.
